Serbian President Boris Tadic has told visiting Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov that Serbia supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and its position on the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to reports.

Tadic said he was grateful for Azerbaijan’s support for Serbia on the Kosovo issue, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Trend News Agency on Thursday.

His remarks came during a two-day visit from Mammadyarov that began Wednesday. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is scheduled to visit Serbia on June 8 and 9 to discuss enhancing bilateral relations.

Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia in 2008, and has since been recognized by 75 U.N. states. Azerbaijan has not recognized Kosovo as an independent state.
