“We have no direct relations with Libya and Libyan cases can have no direct influence on Armenia”. Orientalist Suren Manukyan told journalists about this during the press-conference today while commenting on Libyan last developments.

“If the same scenario is repeated in Syria it will have bad consequences for Armenia” the specialist added.
According to him we have a big community in Syria and it has always kept neutral position in the country’s domestic affairs. But this time Armenians protected the authorities obviously. “This is logical, as Armenians know that only Assad’s regime is able to protect them” Manukyan noted.

Suren Manukyan does not think foreign forces will enter to Syria now. “No foreign force has announced about such a possibility yet.”
